New Tier-3 Environment based on RHEL9 - Test users wanted

Summary

New Tier-3 nodes are available. Access to the system requires using an MFA bastion host. We are searching for test users. You will benefit from 2816 job slots and a powerful new UI machine, all based on RHEL9.

Resources in the new Tier-3

Note that we do not yet have any GPU machines in the new Tier-3 part. We will have to migrate the very old ones, once we do the full migration.

These are the current resources in the new part of the Tier-3

Name No. of cores Job Slots Memory Memory per Total Total /scratch /scratch Netw bw bw p Slot Processor type
nodes p node per node (GB) Slot (GB) cores Slots p node (GB) p slot (GB) p node Gbs MB/s

SUM 24 1664 4160

Note: The connectivity per node is not yet 10Gbs, we need to replace a switch in the next days.

The storage is the same as on the old Tier-3, i.e. you will find your familiar directories in /t3home, /work, /pnfs.
