---++ dCap

The standard 'dccp' is the only client-side utility that is provided through the [[http://www.dcache.org/downloads/index-dcap-clients.shtml][dCache download pages]].
We have extended it. As a first version, it has a few extra utilities:

   * *dcsetwd* set current working directory.
   * *dccd* a standard change directory tool. The default directory can be set through the -s option or with the dcsetwd command.
   * *dcls* list the contents of the current directory (set by dccd), supporting various default 'ls' options
   * *dcmkdir* create a directory
   * *dcrmdir* remove a directory
   * *dcrm* remove a file
   * *dcmkfile* create a file with a given size, useful for testing
   * *dccp* the standard dccp utility

The tools can be downloaded as a tarball, to be installed as follows:
   * Get the dcap client from [[http://www.dcache.org/downloads/index-dcap-clients.shtml][here]]
   * Get the utilities, download [[%ATTACHURL%/dcap-utils.tar.gz][here]]
   * Untar the dcap client to a directory
   * cd into the dcap directory
   * untar the utility tarball here
   * issue 'make'
   * all utilities are available in the 'bin' directory.
