Downtime for maintenance on May 4-5, 2009

A downtime has been scheduled with GOC from 8:00 CEST on May 4, 2009 to 19:00 CEST on May 5, 2009, to execute the following upgrades on the PHOENIX cluster:

• Attach the secondary power supply to static UPS
• Enable new 10Gbit/s switch module
• Scrub the ZFS filesystem on all Sun X4500's
• Enable access to the xray VO
• Installation of gLite 3.1 update 44
• OS and Linux kernel update

Since the maintenance work requires interventions on the network and the power supply lines, job queues will be drained starting Friday May 1, and no access will be possible to the computational and storage facilities during the maintenance.
