How to install a machine with Razor
This is a description of how to use Razor to install a system, it's a WORK IN PROGRESS.
All this commands are to be executed in
phoenix1.lcg.cscs.ch
, but the server
inst.lcg.cscs.ch
is the one actually serving the images.
The provisioning system

is an example system to be provisioned. In green are the steps taken by the provisioning system.

holds the following services: DHCP
PXE
HTTP proxy:80

DHCP
is configured via Puppet

PXE
: TFTP
and HTTP repo:81
are run from /cm/www/html
mounted in read-only mode.

HTTP proxy:80
: running a transparent proxy to phoenix1
for Razor server. This allows systems to fetch the Razor configuration using the 10.10.64.0/22 network.

phoenix1
runs the razor server and puppet+puppetdb server.

HTTP repo:81
runs off /cm/www/html/
and is shared with inst

cfengine.lcg.cscs.ch
(not shown in the diagram) runs cfengine for all those machines still configured via CFengine2
