04. 02. 2010 SunBlade X620 Burning tests (wn10-19)

Test bed

Based on CPT, it is located on the admin node: /home/scratch/BurningTest/CMSSW. Two directories available:

1. data: contains 17 CMSSW AODSIM root files, to be used as local source for a total of ~96k events
2. CMSSW_3_4_1: contains a CMSSW compiled directory for SL5

/home/scratch/BurningTest/CMSSW/CMSSW_3_4_1/src/TestBed contains some cfg and two scripts:

• launchTest.sh: simply runs a cmsRun executable N times serially
• Burn.sh: it uses launchTest.sh to run X parallel series of N jobs

Running on all the files, each job takes ~ 3.5 hours

How To Run

1. Copy the /home/scratch/BurningTest directory from admin01 to the wn's scratch
2. Go into /scratch/BurningTest/CMSSW/CMSSW_3_4_1/src/TestBed
3. Run Burn.sh (check if the parameters are ok)
