In that case deleted files are stored in this snapshot and snapshot grows in space correspondingly. Till snapshot itself is deleted you do not get a free space .* It's a rare event to run over quota and that actually means that you're frequently adding/removing big files in your =/work=, while you have to use the UI/WN =/scratch= or the =/pnfs= areas for that purpose !
