Dear users

We finally were able to solve the problems for the major upgrade of our storage management software in a virtual test system. We now can bring our production infrastructure to the official version that is recommended and supported for the first year of the running LHC.

We will most probably need just one day, Thu Mar 11, for the upgrades and first tests for migrating our present data to the new T3 hardware. We exercised all of this on test installations to keep the impact low. Just as a safety precaution I also entered Fri, 12th in the official downtime request. So, on Thu morning we will close down the whole cluster.
