Summary

Upgrade of the PSI Tier-3 worker nodes to 24 GB RAM per node (3GB per core).

Details

The worker nodes t3wn11 - t3wn29 have been upgraded to 24 GB memory per node (3GB per CPU core).

The cluster queuing system does now also allow the scheduling of SMP parallel jobs (multi-core jobs) and of large memory requirement jobs. The instructions on how to submit such jobs have been added to the Job submission page: https://twiki.cscs.ch/twiki/bin/view/CmsTier3/HowToSubmitJobs
