Details

by decommissioning 3ui01 and getting its disks plus recycling some other spare disk we can now increase each t3ui:/scratch of ~100GB.

we're going to start with t3ui0[2,3,6,7]:/scratch on Friday 20th June at 14:00 ; the users of those t3ui servers will have to stop their tasks and logout ; their /scratch content will be saved and restored ; the maintenance will last ~2h so you can simply wait until its completion that will be announced by a following e-mail ; the maintenance itself will be not reminded so please take note since now.

if you absolutely need to progress with your tasks then please use the other servers t3ui0[4,5,8,9] in accordance with the agreed t3ui policies Tier3Policies#User_interface_policies

next Monday at 14:00 we're going to apply the same maintenance to the remaining t3ui0[4,5,8,9]:/scratch

behind the scenes I'm preparing the next t3ui servers that will offer at least 2TB net for /scratch.
