The new 10 SL6 UIs providing 1.7TB /scratch can be used according to the following policy Tier3Policies#User_interface_policies

in a nutshell each new SL6 UI provides:
   * SL6.4 as OS
   * 100GB RAM
   * 32 cores
   * 1.7TB =/scratch=

ROOT for SL6 has been compiled in =/swshare/ROOT/root_v5.34.18_slc6_amd64_py26_pythia6=

and CMSSW_7_0_6patch3 has been deployed in =/swshare/cms/slc6_amd64_gcc481=

right now there are still *not* SL6 WNs at T3 ; I'll reinstall some of the old SL5 WNs as SL6 WNs when I'll be back from my leave on 11th Aug.
