T3 scheduled downtime - Friday 06/05/2016 from 10:00 till 17:00

On Friday 06/05/2016 from 10:00 till 17:00 we're both upgrading the /pnfs file service and the T3 networking to 10Gbps

Details

On Friday 6th May 2016 from 10:00 till 17:00 we're both upgrading the /pnfs file service and installing some 10Gbs cards in order to complete the recent /shome and /swshare service migration

the downtime schedule is :

• Before 10:00 : each T3 user has to close ALL his/her t3ui* sessions and either kill ALL their t3wn* jobs or put them "on hold" by the command qalter ( search the string hold ) ; if you put them on hold please tell us ; running jobs + not "hold protected" pending jobs are killed

• At 10:00 : the /pnfs , /shome and /swshare services are stopped without any notice ; all the t3ui* and t3wn* servers are affected !

• At 17:00 : the /pnfs , /shome and /swshare services are back in production and a final email is sent to the T3 users

• After 17:00 : each T3 user can work as usual

• Because we can't try all the planned changes these scheduled times might change !! Thank you for your understanding
