Details

These are the first nodes in our cluster based on the AMD EPYC architecture. For the first days we will just run them in a separate test queue "testnew" until we can confirm with you that everything works fine. These nodes add 512 more slots to our Tier-3.

The hardware of the nodes is

  • SUPERMICRO A+ Server 2014TP-HTR containing 4 Nodes t3wn[70-73], each with
    • 1x AMD Rome 7702P, 64 Cores / 128 Threads, 2.0GHz
    • 512 GB RAM: 8x 64GB DDR4-3200MHz , i.e. 4GB RAM per job slot
    • 6.8 TB /scratch and 200 GB for /cvmfs based on RAID0 on 2x Samsung PM983 3.84TB NVME M.2
    • 1x Intel D3 S4510 240GB M.2 SATA (Boot)
    • 10Gbps connectivity (currently only on interface of 4-port 10G RJ45 NIC connected)
