Slurm
- issues with slurmctld (Control daemon) slowing down and crashing some times.
- Updated to v17
- Working with schedmd support to fix slurm

Arc

- issues with the published Slurm information

Graylog/Kibana/Grafana/Elasticsearch
- Gianni is working on the mirrored elasticsearch index

dCache
- stable operation in general since the last upgrade
- found a bug (related to link groups auto-update) which is still under investigation (I guess) by the support
- will decommission/allocate 1PB in April 2018 and
- looking for a solution to improve the head nodes management (virtual?)
- possibly change the upgrade approach (stay on the latest version instead of the oldest supported)

GPFS
- applied some changes to the configuration related to quota management

Other
- Attended the HEPiX Fall Conf in Tsukuba, Japan
- Switch to IPV6: started the early planning phase; according to our network admin the transition will be challenging (due to IB)

• Transisiton from CentOS -6 to CentOS -7: as soon as the cento7-test-partition is up and open for everybody, a 3-month test phase will begin
• All compute nodes running CentOS -7 will feature Singularity. Everybody is eligible to run containers
• ETA for full re-installation on CentOS7: 11th Jan (or 15th Feb)

• IPv6 deployment: deadlines still quite far in the future, but Tier-2s are invited to start drawing plans (WLCG)
  
  
  • From April 1st 2017 sites will be allowed to deploy IPv6-only CPU resources. Sites wishing to deploy IPv6-only CPU resources must deploy dual stack storage if they provide it.
    
    
  • By April 1st 2018 it should be possible to deploy IPv6-only CPU resources with relative ease and by the end of Run II enough sites should have upgraded their storage to dual stack to allow almost complete data availability via federated XrootD over IPv6.
